Stockholm in summer

Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. It counts approximately 1 800 000 inhabitants. One Swede on five lives in Stockholm. This city was created during the 13th century by Birger Jarl at the mouth of the lake Mälaren.

Often called 'Venice of North', Stockholm is in fact built on 14 islands between the lake Mälaren and the Baltic sea. Stockholm belongs to an archipelago of the same name which counts approximately 24000 islands or rocks.
