Countryside

Here are some pictures of VÃ¤rmland. The photographs were taken in the south of this area. The winter had just finished, and there remained still a little snow in the sheltered places. One can ski (mainly touring) on the hills which culminate at an altitude of 400 or 500m. That is not very high, but that is enough within sight of the latitude of the place!

	Swedish forest The Swedish forest as far as the eye can see. The exploitation of wood is one of the first natural resources of Sweden. 50% of its surface are covered with it. Paper and furniture industries (IKEA is not Swedish for nothingâ€¦) are very developed.
	Raspberry canes A field of raspberry canes. It's a pity that we where not there in summerâ€¦ I would undoubtedly have regaled myself. One finds also many bilberries.
	Fir trees Some remainders of the winter in the shade of fir trees.
	Hill A small hill.
	Lake One of the many lakes of the country. 10% of the surface of Sweden is covered by lakes.
